"Up" theme- Table Decorations

Okay, balloons can get out of hand. I myself despise balloons. However, these balloon decor ideas are just right. The rule is to not cluster, over due, or over color. Choose light colored balloons, not harsh colors.

"Up" theme- Cakes

I love the movie "Up", so when I saw some weddings inspired by the movie, I just had to share!

Today we are looking at Cakes. The thing to keep in mind is that you can do a themed wedding, and still make it tasteful and fun. Look at these 3 adorable cakes that look too cute to eat.

Bunting is SO popular, and looks so delicate on this cake.

See how the little cookies look like balloons?

This is a little more "birthday cake-ish" but would still make a show stopping wedding cake.

Theme Week

Every once in awhile we will be having themed weeks. We will take a theme, idea, color, object, movie, song, etc. and transpose it into a wedding with different aspects of the wedding throughout the week.
Next week we will be focusing on a movie...with lots of balloons....can you guess what it is?

Venue Shopping

Katrina is in town from San Fransisco and we went out venue shopping yesterday!
It has been our goal from the beginning to get our very own venue. We had 15 properties lined up in Seattle to go look at.
Our goal is to ultimately have weddings there as well as parties, soirees, events, fairs, etc. Do you have any ideas for events we might throw?
We ended up finding 2 places we LOVED. 1 more than the other....trying not to get our hopes up, but it's our dream space. We may be taking on a poll sometime next week to get input....

I LOVE it.

Gwen's Rental
