Why You Should Hire a Florist

Let me start by saying, DIY is great. You can DIY your decorations or dessert or even food. But I must urge you, Do NOT DIY Your Flowers! Unless you are a professional, just don't do it. It may sound great to go to the farmers market and make your own bouquets, but in the end it's another stress on your shoulders or a family member's.

I promise you, you will feel so much better having one less thing on your plate.
I know you want to stay on a budget.
I know you think it will be cheaper if you do it yourself.
And I know you may think you are the best DIYer in town.
But, do you want gorgeous bouquets and table decorations or something you got around to last minute?

See the thing is a florist who is truly great at their job, makes bouquets look easy. You see a big bouquet made of hydrangeas and you think "Oh, I can do that." But did you know that mere minutes out of water (without proper treatment) they can go from beautiful to nasty? I have taken classes, manipulated flowers, and gotten my hands dirty to find all the tricks to keeping your flowers beautiful.

Now, I'm not saying you can't do it. Maybe you are handy. But do you have the time, the patience, supplies, flower cooler, experience, and a backup plan if something goes wrong on the day of the wedding? When you hire me, you are hiring me to take care of every aspect of your arrangements.

You MAY think you are saving money. MAY is the key word here. You will end up buying floral tape, wire, clippers, buckets, oasis, vases, etc. And you MAY never use these things again. Then comes the cooler. You might be able to re-arrange your fridge, but if you happen to have anything lemon-y or tomato-y in there it will kill your flowers. You might not have known that because this isn't what you do for a living.

So now I've given my spiel. I hope you see that there are huge benefits from hiring a florist, and maybe even hiring Me! I want you to enjoy your day, and even the week leading up to your wedding. Sometimes there are things that should be left to the professionals. Let me make your day stress free and beautiful. Let your family enjoy the day and enjoy it yourself. Spring for the professional florist.

Hanging Floral Backdrop

I've done this for one wedding so far, but I want to do it for more!
I love the look of the dripping flowers behind the bride and groom. If you are looking for a beautiful backdrop to your ceremony I suggest these hanging floral ones.

Bigger flower heads make more of an impact

They used different shades of carnations to create and ombre' effect

Simple white looks ethereal

I love the combo of dripping flowers and the string lights!

Give me a call and we can choose colors and flowers to make a beautiful backdrop for your wedding!

Best Wedding Day: For Math and Pie Lovers Alike

Did you know the equation to Pi is 3.1415...?
Guess what numbers March 14th of next year write out to be....?
3.1415!
Not only would this be an easy day to remember, but you could have so much fun with a "Pie" themed wedding. It happens to fall on a Saturday too, so it couldn't be more perfect. I suggest you start booking vendors now for it since this will only happen once in a lifetime!

One idea is to go with a Picnic Pie theme. Find a barn venue, lay out blankets, serve lemonade, have lawn games, and maybe even a Pie Potluck!

Or what about a Pie Bar theme with different kinds of pies like Whoopie Pies or Stick Pies? And maybe even get specialty drinks made at the bar to taste like Apple Pie or Cherry Pie?

Keep the decorations centered around Math. Some might think it's cheesy, but you can actually make math look simple and sexy!

For flowers I would suggest flowers that are in season... obviously. Hydrangeas, freesia, and calla lillys are all great options!

Trending: Geometric Weddings

You know what trend I keep seeing all over Pinterest?
Geometric!!!
It's so 80's, but I secretly love it.

This table centerpiece is a total DIY project that any bride can pull off! Click here to be taken to the tutorial.

You can also make some really fun backdrops for the ceremony.

The dessert bar and cake can really show off the Geometric theme as well

And how much fun are these bow ties!!!??? There are a ton on Esty.com, but I found this neon one that I love the most.

In fact Etsy.com has quite a few Geometric decorations, invitations, etc.

For flowers, I would recommend succulents and pops of bright colors.
