Best Wedding Day: For Math and Pie Lovers Alike

Did you know the equation to Pi is 3.1415...?
Guess what numbers March 14th of next year write out to be....?
3.1415!
Not only would this be an easy day to remember, but you could have so much fun with a "Pie" themed wedding. It happens to fall on a Saturday too, so it couldn't be more perfect. I suggest you start booking vendors now for it since this will only happen once in a lifetime!

One idea is to go with a Picnic Pie theme. Find a barn venue, lay out blankets, serve lemonade, have lawn games, and maybe even a Pie Potluck!

Or what about a Pie Bar theme with different kinds of pies like Whoopie Pies or Stick Pies? And maybe even get specialty drinks made at the bar to taste like Apple Pie or Cherry Pie?

Keep the decorations centered around Math. Some might think it's cheesy, but you can actually make math look simple and sexy!

For flowers I would suggest flowers that are in season... obviously. Hydrangeas, freesia, and calla lillys are all great options!

Trending: Geometric Weddings

You know what trend I keep seeing all over Pinterest?
Geometric!!!
It's so 80's, but I secretly love it.

This table centerpiece is a total DIY project that any bride can pull off! Click here to be taken to the tutorial.

You can also make some really fun backdrops for the ceremony.

The dessert bar and cake can really show off the Geometric theme as well

And how much fun are these bow ties!!!??? There are a ton on Esty.com, but I found this neon one that I love the most.

In fact Etsy.com has quite a few Geometric decorations, invitations, etc.

For flowers, I would recommend succulents and pops of bright colors.

Love Blooms not only does event coordinating but we have also been busy this year as florists! This latest blog post is all about that. Roses and peonies tend to dominate the wedding market but we are here to talk about Calla Lilies! Lilies have the ability to add a bit of a surprise but also a lot of elegance.
We love the variety of colors and classic beauty they provide!

Inspiration Post: Baby's Breath!

Love Blooms is all about finding ways to save the Bride and Groom money! One of our favorite affordable decorations is baby's breath! It can be used for pretty much ANYTHING. One of the many perks of using baby's breath is that it works so well during all the seasons of the year.
Because of its affordability and how subtle it looks it can be used so many different ways in your wedding or event. Above are just a few examples; centerpieces, seating charts and floral crowns.

Of course, bouquets are an obvious option as well and they look great with any color scheme. These pictures just scratch the surface on what you can do with baby's breath! Contact Love Blooms for even more creative and unique ideas for your special day!

Co-Ed Baby-Q

Love Blooms finally arrived back in Seattle just in time to throw a baby shower! The theme was "BBQ, Beer and Babies!" It was the perfect theme for a co-ed shower. We had a few shower games such as "guess who brought the onesie" and "who can diaper the baby the fastest?" The boys got involved and had a blast!

The centerpieces incorporated the theme with spray painted bottles and diapers. The favors for the girls were shades of blue nail polish while the guys got a "wipe my heine" Heineken!
The whole day was a blast and we loved every minute of planning!

Napa Wedding

Love Blooms has been doing events in California this past month and on Saturday we coordinated and did the flowers for a gorgeous wedding in Napa, CA! The details were beautiful with the candy bar and personal touches. The bride and groom went with pomander balls along the aisle and then we reused them for some of the centerpieces! It turned out perfect!

Inspiration post: Pomander Balls

Here's a great idea that can be a show stopper! Pomander balls can be used in so many ways. For instance, lining the aisle, centerpieces, and even bouquets! One of the great things about that is how versatile they can be. They can be made of baby's breath, greenery and of course roses and other colorful flowers.  Here are a few ideas that caught our eye!

Candle Centerpieces

One of our brides inspired me to post some pictures of candle centerpieces.
Sometimes candles can be more cost effective way. Try using them instead of flowers.
Check out these ideas!

Bird themed centerpieces

My brother in law proposed! Jacob and Jill will be getting married some time this summer.
Their theme....."Love birds".
I LOVE it.
We went over some centerpiece ideas. Here were my favorite in order from least to greatest.

Bird nests with flowers instead of eggs

How easy. Branch (back yard) + spray paint + birds = beautiful

This is the feel we are shooting for. Caged flowers. Cute, eh?
